Today I saw Dr. Custer for the first time, and I was blown away with how kind and thorough he was. He was gentle and made sure I was comfortable throughout my procedure. He told me everything he was doing, which put me at ease. Glad I chose Dr. Custer!

Dentures FAQs

Got a question? We’re here to help.

  • I need Dentures. Where do I start?

Request an appointment or call us at (419) 756-0321 to set up a consultation about affordable options for your teeth replacement.

  • Can I sleep with my dentures in?

It's preferred that you remove your dentures at night to give your gums a rest. Be sure to remove your dentures and soak them in a cleaning solution. Rinsing with mouthwash can help keep your gums healthy.

  • Can I eat normally with my dentures?

It takes time to get used to dentures. Eventually, you should be able to eat fairly normally, but harder or sticky foods may take longer to adjust to.

  • How do I care for my dentures?

Denture care involves daily brushing to remove food particles and plaque and to prevent staining. Use a soft-bristled brush and a non-abrasive denture cleaner. When not wearing them, keep your dentures in water or a denture-soaking solution to prevent them from drying out and losing their shape.

  • How long does it take to get used to new dentures?

It typically takes a few weeks to get accustomed to new dentures. Initially, they may feel odd or slightly uncomfortable, but as your mouth becomes used to them, these feelings diminish. Eating and speaking will gradually become easier as you adjust.
